The Friends of the Jamestown Philomenian Library Present:
Creative Nonfiction Workshop: Turning Life Events into Stories
November 5, 12, 19, 5 to 7 pm, Meeting Hall, Jamestown Philomenian Library with light potluck
Workshop Description
Everyone has a story to tell. In this workshop, we will cultivate the skills necessary to tell your real-life story in an artistic, engaging way. By reading examples of creative nonfiction and examining the literary devices various authors employ, we will learn how to apply those techniques to our own work. We will follow this reading with prompts, exercises, and constructive workshopping. Due to the generative nature of this course, it is suitable for both beginning and seasoned writers looking for the time, inspiration, and guidance to help hone their craft.
